MRP Type 'PD' - How to get planned order created?
Hi!I am new to MRP and have only recently implemented the very basic consumption based planning using reorder point planning.I am now required to implement MRP type 'PD' to take into consideration the sales requirements.So,in my testing,I have created a material master with MRP type 'PD'.I then created a sales order for the material.When I ran MD03 for the material,the MRP list shows the zero stock with the sales order requirement but does not create any planned orders.Does PD type works the same as VB where a planned order or requisition will be created if the sytem identifies a shortage?Can anyone shed some light on what I have missed out?Cheers!Doremon

Hi @se,We have no planning strategy assigned in the material master.But you have led me on the right track to look at the requirement class and I noticed that the requirement class is set to not take the customer requirement in the planning run.It is only display and that is exactly the results that I am getting in the system.Cheers!Doremon

It should be '02'. Would it make any difference in this particular issue?RegardsDoremon
