请问这翻译要怎么修改?为什么?
英文翻译可不可以直接用动词短语date back to开始？还是得dating back？为什么？

date 是行为动词.放在句首语法上讲不通.用dating back to 也行,作非限制性后置定语修饰主语.

如果修改为Dating back to 2000 years ago, the mid-autumn day is September 30th this year. 这样子应该没什么问题吧？还有，这样是作前置定语吧？

不太好，但也说得通，正如楼上解释的那样，只是不能用他说的dated.,因为date不及物。很显然，dating back to...是用来对主语作以附加说明的。既然是非限制性后置定语，当然放在主语The Mid-autumn Day的后面。 ---没那样的前置定语

很不好意思，再追问一个问题，可是现在分词也可以做前置定语啊

是呀，但那是单词，不是短语。如：a moving story. 比较： Do you know the boy standing there? standing there 就是短语了，只能后置，放在它修饰的the boy 之后。
