如果as在这个句子里,这个句子就不是一个非限制性定语从句.as it turned out...as引导的是一个方式状语从句,‘正如’的意思,it指后来发生的事情.

如果是非限定性定语从句,应该是I thought the movie would be good for my English,which was totally wrong.As it turned out it was an Italian movie.
如果一定要用as引导非限定性定语从句,要去掉it,应该是as turned out,it was an Italian movie.=it was an Italian movie,as turned out.as指代前面那个主句,做定语从句的主语.其实这种表达语法上貌似可以,但是不是普遍用法,我只是为了帮楼主分析语法才这样写的,这个句子怎么看都怪怪的.
