谢谢你的回答 spend time doing 不用这种结构吗？ 也就是说spend不作“花费时间”讲，在这里又是什么意思呢？

这个结构我知道： spend time 【in】doing sth spend time 【on】sth 这个题绝就绝在这。 是个陷阱题。 这里不是表示”花一个晚上的时间来锁自己“ 而是“这个晚上在那守株待兔， 等着小偷的到来”， 锁在家中是伴随状语， 我说了。
