I wrapped potatoes in foil and stuck them in the oven to bake,covered a steak in marinade and……
balanced it on top of a carton of eggs in the fridge.
此处cover不用ing是不是和前面的不定式有关?

跟不定式没有关系.
在这里I wrapped..and stuck.,covered...and balanced.
全部是谓语动词的过去时用法,这是并列句,等于I wrapped...,I covered.
