A marketing mix is an integrated strategy designed to maximize consumer satisfaction while delivering the firm’s products to market in an effective manner.The mix would include the product or service offered by the firm,the price of this product,distribution channels used in delivering this product to market,and advertising or promotional strategies and sales efforts.These four components of the marketing mix comprise what is generally referred to as the marketing formula-product,price,promotion,and distribution-and which are variables controllable by the firm.Decisions on elements of the marketing mix are interrelated and must be made carefully since they can greatly influence consumer responses to a firm’s product as well as its operational effectiveness and eventual success in the market.
