When I was a schoolchild, my dream is to be a engineer. Once I told parents my ambition. They thought it was ridiculous and said that engineer is not suitable for a girl, which make me very angry. I quarrel with them and said I will follow my heart to do what I really like and they don’t need to pay any attention to my future. A few days later, my teacher told me that there is going to be a math competition and I should prepare for it with my father’s guidance. I knew the importance of the competition because it was a good time .Suddenly I realized I have told my parents that I don’t need any help from them. I have to make a hard choice. I would either break my promise and ask them for help, or prepare for the competition myself. I was in floods of tears. I don’t want to lose my face to ask for their help, too. I know that the competition is really important to me. Then I was confused. If I do so, it will not just lose my face and they would never take my opinions seriously. So I chose to prepare for the challenge myself. Every time I come across the difficult problems, I was helpless and don’t know who I can turn to. But I don’t want to give up. I devote all my time to do exercise and give up all the parties. Finally I came first in the contest. All my devotions were paid off.
