Many students said global warming and other pollution issues would get worse and discuss some of these ideas another time.Today,we are going to discuss something that some students said would be a good thing and other students said would be a bad thing.This is the issue of people living longer.
In 1600,most people died before they were 50 years old.In 1900 most people died before they reached the age of 60.In 2000 most people lived to be 80.We will certainly live longer in the future.American scientists are testing drugs that will help people to live longer.By 2030,you will expect to live to be a hundred.Why do students disagree over whether this will be good thing or a bad thing?Our reporter asked two students ,one from each side,to explain their ideas.
