英语句子,my parents died young,I have done well in this respect

不太好理解,其实是这样的.
I have done well in this respect as regards my other ancestor.
这句话后面的as regards my other ancestor只能翻译成“相较于我的其他祖先”
但是他为什么可以翻译成“我的别的祖先都活的比较长寿”呢?这也就是“I have done well in this respect”这个部分的功能.
与我的祖先相比,我这方面做得不错.也就是说：我的祖先活得不长（没我长）
他翻译的时候就和在一起翻了.

要参照上下文，前面说我父母死的早，所以“this aspect”这方面指的就是寿命。我在寿命这方面比我的祖先都做得好，就是比他们活的时间长。
