As a kind of crystallization of modern technology,the genetically modified plants used to enjoy a universal reputation for its contribution to agricultural yeild and providing increased food resource for human kind.As the living standard of people has been being elevated,many people,holding a even higher criterion for food,begin to suspect the genetically modofied plants for its possibility to harm people’s health,and therefore assert that the production of such a detrimental vegetation should be extemely restricted or even discarded.For such a topic,ersonally,I,m hardly wholly convinced for many facts and reasons.
Primarily,the tremendous addvantages brought by this sort of plants should not be ignored.It is not an exaggeration that if it is not the overwhelming higher yeild of this kind of plants,the storage of food all over the world would be deficient for the large and increasing population on the planet.Thanks to the invention and propagation of genetically modified plants,thousands of millions of people were saved from starving.In addition,had we had not those superly developed plants,we would have not released such an immense number of farmers from the profitless and traditional farming,to have enabled them to be involved in modern industries,thus to live a better life.Apart from food,numerous kinds of aesthetic plants from some genetical modifying programmes have made our world mor colourful and of a variety of beauty,even more fascinating than their natural counterparts.
Admittedly,some evidences show that a minority of those genetically modified plants,especially food vegetations,do have some unhealthy factors threatening people’s well-being,while no significant examples in which those plants do severe detriments to human beings has ever been reported,as far as I am concerned.Further more,even if some of those plants have flaws,it should not be the reason for which we sentence this ever glorious technology to death,since,instead of doing so,we can adopt that we do some revingsing or moderation to those of detrimental flaws to enhance or transfer them toa better,all beneficial species as a wiser alternative.
To conclude,the genetically modified plants,though some of which have demerits that hold bake health,regarding its surprising addvatages and contributions that better our landscape and elevate our food production,we should never abandon such an unprecedented and yet followed up technology,having not mentioned that the remedy of revising and further development to those flawed species.
