句子是:I tried to wake my wife by ringing the doorbell,but she was fast asleep, so I got a ladder from the shed in the garden, put it against the wall, and began climbing towards the bedroom window.
句子很简单...就是有一个地方搞不懂 put前面是不是应该加个and 不然so后面的从句不就有两个谓语动词了?可是新概念2上面是这样写的 这是为什么内?求高手详解 感激不尽啊!
如果说put it against the wall做状语 那应该是用putting it against the wall吧?
