My funniest holiday story wasn't at all funny at the time.
I was on holiday with three of my pals,in Beijing.
I took the hired car and parked on the main road at Torremolinos and entered the shopping centre,when I returned the car was gone.
I was told by a shopkeeper my car had been towed away by the Police for being illegally parked.It took me about an hour to find the local Police office and at that time I spoke no Spanish at all.(Not that I am much better now) I could not get anyone to understand me so I went outside and after a few minutes found a guy who spoke a little English and he accompanied me back to the Station.
Eventually after about two hours an English speaking lawyer was brought in and I explained what had happened.
It turned out the guy who had spoken up for me was a local criminal and had a warrant out for his arrest when he went to the station with me.
