He would gladly pay for dormitories at Stanford Law School,a

He would gladly pay for dormitories at Stanford Law School,as long as Stanford made each room exactly so many feet wide and provided that the university locate(?) the parking garage where he insisted.

我的看法是,这里用the university located the garage或者如原文的the university locate the garage都可以.
因为provided that相当于on the condition that,引导条件从句的,后面可以用虚拟语气的,所以用locate,

我觉得你分析的很有道理~呵呵 也就是说这个句子结构是he would pay for...and provided that... 我之前以为句子结构是he would pay for... as long as stanford made ....and provided +从句...

1(as long as...),2 (provided that...)
