A. hundred

数词后面的 hundred只能用单数.

of 用在这儿没有错: 此句中的of表示部分与整体的关系.即: 学生当中的900个,

句意: 我们能看见其中的900个学生在操场上.

(如果不要of, 直接说nine hundred the students 也是错的,除非说成:nine hundred students .)
