她告诉我为什么她拒绝了这个 offer （提供某物或提出的好意，或作“报价”讲？）－－意思很完整。前面的why 就包括为什么，何种原因的意思了。所以说“画蛇添足”了，反而不符合语法了。 同样：Please tell me why you are late 和 Please tell the reason why you are late 都是对的，但是：Please tell me why you are late the reason，就是一个错句。好像思路是中文的“为什么迟到的原因”，而英文不应该这样安排语序。
