surprised 表示这个消息让她吃惊
surprising和surprised都是分词,前者是现在分词,后者是过去分词,它们都可以做定语,但意思上有区别.
现在分词是说让其他的人感到,而过去分词是让自己感到.
你的句子是说,消息让她自己感到了吃惊,不是说别人看到她的表情觉得她很吃惊.
对,你想,she is surprised at the news 对吧?所以是a surprised look.如果是a surprising look 是说 ,她脸上的表情让别人很吃惊.
