这是英语的惯常用法,这样的例子还有NO MATCH FOR E.G.I'M NO MATCH FOR HIM IN TENNIS.在网球方面,我不是他的对手.选项B是比较CHINGLISH的说法.

我觉得选A是由于and后边的省略句造成的，正常情况下B的用法也成立。因为pretend to be 后省略的成分必须和并列句前边的相符。
