用 what：他总是注意老师所讲的东西.
用 whatever 他总是注意老师所讲的一切东西（即凡是老师所讲的都注意听）
二、what 和 whatever 都属于关系代词型连接代词,也就说他们都等于“先行词 + 关系代词”,即 someone/something + that,相当于汉语的“所...的”,表示"所……的人"、"所……的事物"、"所……的情况"等,汉语叫做“所字结构”（“所”来源于古文中的宾语提前,属于代词,意思是“这、其、此”,如所思、所想、所见、所闻）因此问题中的句子可以改写为：
