David Smith quarrelled with his neighbour,Katherine Hill.Mrs Hill had a dog.David did not like dogs.He wanted Mrs Hill to dive away or sell her dog but she refused.
"l'll take you to court if you don't,"he said.
Mrs Hill laughed at him.She was not worried.
David thought,"l must talk to a lawyer,but lawyers are exprnsive.l don't want to waste my money.i will waste it if i don't win my case against Mrs Hill and her dog."
Then David had an idea.There was a young lawyer in the town."l'll visit him,"David thought."He needs work."
He visited the young lawyer said."l need some advice,"he said.
"Certainly,"the young lawyer said."What is your problem?l am here to help you."
"Good.l want to take my neighbour to court.However,i will pay for your advice only if you think iwill win the casee in court."
The lawyer was not lieased by this suggestion.However,he had very little work.Here was a chance to get some.
"All risht,"he siad."i agree.l will listen to your probiem.l will give you honest advice.You will pay me only if l think you can win in court."
David told him about the problem.The lawyer listened carefully,Sometimes he made notes.When David finished,the lawyer sat back in his chair ahd said,"You wil win your case.l'm sure sbout it.May i take your case to court?"
David stood up and waiked towards the door."Np thank you."he said."Iwill not take it to court."
"What about mo free?"the lawyer asked."You must keep your promise."
"l'm keeping my promise,"Davis said."l will not win my case.You see .l did not tell you my case,i told you Mrs Hill's"
