First, a good roomate should be self-displine. As one you live with under the same roof. He or she should consider others' feeling. For example, one should keep quiet when others are sleeping. One should put his or her things away and keep the cleanness of the room.
Second, a good roomate should be easy-going. Different people have different characters and habits. One should respect others' habit and could forgive others' short-coming. A roommate should also be a friend, the one you could share happiness and worries with.
Third, a good roomates should be helpful. When other roommates need help ,one should give his hands. To some extend, a roommate should also play as a memeber of the famliy.For example, when he finds the other one is ill. He should take care of him. When he finds the other one has some difficulties with his study, he should help him with it.
