最根本的,有了助动词,就没有so.有了so,就没有助动词
1 前面有了上文（She lost a lot of money）,後面的下文(did== She lost a lot of money）存在了,就可以省略（尽管可以不省略）.如果省略了,句子就显得精炼到位.
2 但下面的句子裏面,so不能省略：
- Will John come tomorrow
- Well,I'm afraid not,but I hope so.(so==John will come tomorrow)
同样,也省略so,因为有了助动词：
---------Will John come tomorrow
-------- I hope he will.
3 又如：
A:Does Tom live there?
B:I am sure he does(==he lives there).--------所以,不必说：I am sure he does so.
