There is a push in each room connected to its own relay in a combined relay/indicator unit.One such unit is mounted in a convenient position in the corridor of each floor,and all the room pushes on that floor are wired to it.Each floor unit is in turn connected to an indicator and bell in the manager’s office.When the button in a room is pushed,the corresponding relay pulls down the indicator flag for the room in the indicator unit and this in turn pulls down the indicator flag for that floor in the manager’s office and at the same time sound a bell in the office.The circuit has to be reset at the floor indicator unit.The scheme can be varied to have a bell on each floor and an indicator without bell in the main office.Other variations can also be devised to suit individual user’s preferences.
