In this love poem by Sandra Cisneros,the author gives us so many idea(ideas) about the different meaning of love.Specifically(Especially) she shows that boys and girls in a relationship with different kinds of emotions ,love could be like crazy and dangerous,love is an adventure and risky.The author applies many single words and items(应该用terms) to correlate the relationship(s) and paradoxes between the two lovers.In the poem,a red flag can symbolize danger and a warning.Chemical may symbolize the chemical reaction and chemical change.
An axe and a bruised thumb symbolize aggressive,breaks or splits things.
Pas de deux symbolize the ballet dance for two people.The author use(uses) metaphysic to describe a couple lover’s relationships.
