appreciate是动词。
用appreciate表达感谢是非常有诚意的，可以这么说：
I'd appreciate it if you could .....
意为：如果你能怎么怎么样，我将万分感谢。
thankful是形容词，和appreciative的用法一样。thankful有两种用法：
1. be thankful for sb./sth.

thank 和 appreciate 比吧，（thankful是形容词， 这里应该是动词和动词比）
thank 不可以直接接所感谢的事， 但 apprecate 可以， 见下：

thank sb for sth
appreciate sth (不可以说 thank sth)
