楼上说的有道理，不过我觉得这里Jays and Yanks只可能是指那支知名的棒球队，没有什么鸟的意思，相应的homer就只能作“本垒打”解，就是“让我达成心愿”的比喻意，所以我觉得译文很有问题，不知道是谁译的，尽信书不如无书，有怀疑的时候自己可以多翻翻书。...

这好像是一句谚语,就像love me ,love my dog
