It seems a rule that students take many tests before the college entrance examination. However, there are two opposing opinions about whether there should be so many tests for Senior Three students.

People who agree with it believe that tests can improve student’ state of mind. Also, they can help them find where they are weak and therefore better learning methods are adopted. What’s more, tests make it possible for students to gain access to questions of new type.

On the other hand, those who are against it think that there must be difficulty in choosing proper test papers. In practice, too hard exams many lead to students losing heart and too easy ones may disturb students’ reviewing plans and normal teaching plans, which is not beneficial to the improvement of students.

In my opinion, proper tests are of great necessity for students. Tests can help create a good learning atmosphere for students, which are a good preparation for the college entrance examination, both physically and mentally.
