语法问题It is a truth universally acknowleged ,that a single man… 我理解为It is a truth (which is) acknowleged that … 为什么which is可以省？从句主谓不是不能省吗？另外一种说法是acknowleged过去分词作定语后置，两者什么区别，哪个对？

后面的对。因为从句主谓不能省，所以第一种理解不对。
that引导的从句为truth的同位语。universally acknowleged 为truth的后置定语
