First , China is the country that has the largest population. So most of people in the world are speaking Chinese. As one member of it, we should proud of that.
Second, China is where we live, most of us will live here forever. So it doesn't matter to learn english or not.
Third, of course Chinese will develop very well. China is getting more and more strong and internationalize now, many foreigners are learning Chinese now.
Anyway, Chinese is our Mother Tongue, it's easier than any other languages for us to learn. How could you learn foreign language well when your Chinese is bad?
