he too fell asleep 的意思是不是和 he fell asleep,too 的意思一样,什么情况下会用?

he fell asleep,too 就不是亲身体验了吗？可以详细一点吗。。

原文是：The gardener set his eldest son to watch;but about twelve o'clock he fell asleep,and in the morning another of the apples was missing.Then the second son was ordered to watch;and at midnight he too fell asleep,and in the morning another apple was gone. 亲身体验好像不太对啊。。译得过来吗。。
