①这里主要是根据句意改的，应该是调查是否被污染，如果用that那变成了：为了发现环境被污染了 既然已经污染了，还有必要去吗！
②加been是表示被动，被污染， pulluted是动词过去分词，have是完成时的标志。
③in order to do sth后面接的是动词原形 were 和been是同一个动词，be是这个动词的原形，am是第一人称单数形式，is 是第三人称单数形...
