大意是说： 孔子说：“事奉父母，多次委婉劝告。如不听从，仍然尊敬而不背逆，虽然忧伤，却不埋怨。

侍奉父母，（假如他们有什么不对的地方，）要委婉的进行劝说。看到父母从心里不愿意听从意见，还是要恭恭敬敬，而不要违背；为父母而操劳，也不要怨恨。
