如何解释?为什么是less the farther 而不是 the farther less ,表示“远远少于”程度副词应放在比较级前?Thanks.

当人离地表越远时,身体的重量则越轻；
这是个复合句,把整个句子分开看A body weighs less ；
the farther it gets from the surface of the Earth
后面的句子是倒装属于比较级的一种用法,类似与”the more...the more"的用法

the farther是在说明人与地球表面的距离。整句的意思是在说当人体离地球表面与越远时,体重就会越来越轻。所以才会是“a body weighs less the farther it gets from the surface of the Earth”。

也可改写成
the farther a body is（or gets）from the surface...
