The embarrassing truth was I'd always just accepted what they'd done, taken all of it for granted.
这个短语taken all of it for granted是修饰谁吖~如果是修饰“I”的话，应该用主动形式吖~不解~还请高人指点~

句子有问题。改为：
The embarrassing truth was that I'd always just accepted what they'd done, taken all of it for granted.
书面语中，表语从句的that不能省略。除非在口语化的情况下才省。

我个人觉得这句话是错误的。 原句应该改成 The embarrassing truth was I'd always just accepted what they'd done, takeing all of it for granted. 这里的it是指what they'd done。
