in the front of与in front of具有不同的含义。前者表示在某一范围之内的前部，后者表示在某一范围之外的前面。
例：in front of classroom（在教室这个建筑的前面（教室的外面））
in the front of classroom(在这个教室的前面（里面））

in the front of是指，在一个范围的内部，有些东西是靠前的。

打个比方，比如说是教室吧
in the front of 意思是在教室的前面，具体就是指在教室这栋建筑物的前面
in front of意思也是在教室的前面，但这里指的就是在教室内部的前面，比如说是在讲台上，或是在教室的前几排
