There is a pub (酒吧) in our town.Its name is “The White Horse (马)”,and it is Mr.Harry’s.Mr.Harry was not very happy last year because very few people went to his pub to drink.But now he is very happy.Do you know why?
Last year,there was a picture of a white horse on the door of the pub.One day,a man from another town came into the pub.He drank something and then he looked around and said to Mr.Harry,“There aren’t many people here.”
Mr.Harry said,“This is a new pub,and very few people come here.” The man said,“Take the picture of a white horse down,and put a picture of a black horse up.” “But the name of my pub is …” “Yes,but do it.”
Mr.Harry went to an artist (画家) and asked him to draw a picture of a black horse.Then he put it up on the door of the pub.
Then a man came in and said,“There’s a mistake on the door of your pub.The name of your pub is ‘The White Horse’,but there’s a picture of a black horse on it.”
The man looked around the pub,sat down and drank something.Then another man came in and said the same,and then another,and another.A lot of people did in the same way.
Now his pub is always full (满的) of people,and he has five assistants.So Mr.Harry feels happy.
