关于prefer rather than的问题,以及rather than的问题

1. rather than是一个并列连词,其前后的短语必须性质一致.
1）所以如果前面是to do sth,后面最好也是to do sth,只不过后面的to一般加油省略,即：prefer to do sth rather than do sth；
2）如果前面是sth或doing sth,则后面也必须是名词性质的结构,如sth或doing sth,即：prefer (doing) sth rather than (doing) sth.
2. 所以,sb is doing sth rather than doing sth是正确的,因为前后是对应结构：doing sth；
至于第二个句子,是把have done sth中的sth和后面的doing sth对应的（都是名词性成分）,而不是把done sth和doing sth对应.
