选C.A except 后应该接一个句子,而 except for 后接名词,两者意思一样,都有“美中不足的意思”,即,except for a slight fever = except that he still has a slight fever .
又如：The shirt fits me except for its light color = The shirt fits me except that its color is a bit light.

应该选A 意思是---除了有点发烧，他儿子很健康
B Bsides 意思是包括 例如 I have 4 good friends besides you. 我有包括你在内的4个好朋友
C except for后面要加短语或短语从句
D in addition to 也是包括的意思，后面跟短语或短语从句
