答：join 不代表参加,它通常用来比喻某人加入某个团队、小组等,是指一个个体加入一个群体并且一起做某件事情.而这里问题是关于歌唱比赛,这属于一种场合,而用took part in 会比较恰当.（我的另一种猜想是joined 后面会不会不该加in,应为这样一来语法好像有点问题.不过我不太确定.）

答:其实这个问题有问题.如果按照这个问题的话,你的答案（B）其实是对的.但是我觉得问题应该是问错了.应该把games后面的那个逗号去掉,并且换成while.这样一来C就是对的了.while the others 是在一起的.
5.请说一下attend、appear、take part in、join的区别,并举例证明
答：attend:参加某种会议、聚会、集体活动(比如婚礼也是,算是那种收到邀请并且会被记录有没有来的那种,学校的活动也算.)
appear:出现
take part in:参与（参加的场合没有attend那么正式）
join:加入（团队、小组等等）
其实这里面attend 和 take part in 区别很渺小,恐怕唯一的区别就是attend的场合通常会点名,而take part in 则没有那么正式吧.appear 唯一的意思就是出现,没什么好说的了.join 之前第一题解释过了,就是那么个意思.
