as代的是前面的整个句子。
但这里你应该要划分句子成分，这个句子是主系表的标准句型。
It是形式主语，代they should get well prepared for their future这个部分。就算it 代的是后面那句。那为什么要用that呢？这个句子是主语从句，It's+adj./n./done/vi.+that是基本句型...
