因为动词是单数IS呀，根据THERE IS 只能用单数 ，如果用复数，应该是There are no bridges over the river .

英语中有一样法则叫subject-verb agreement
意思是 看情况用s或不用s 例如 he 要用is 不能用are
在这题中,bridge是单数,从is这个字眼中可以看出

have no students 、是说没有学生，可能本来很多学生。而一条河上一般就建一座桥，方便通行就行不用建很多啊，你想在河上建桥多麻烦啊
