refrain和constrain的区别?

efrain是不及物动词,有宾语的时候用refrain from,抑制,戒除,就是克制不要做某事.
例子：Please refrain from smoking during the performance.演出时请勿吸烟.
constrain首先有强迫的意思,强迫做某事.【refrain没有这个意思】
其次做抑制来讲是及物动词,
不一定是动作发出者克制自己,有可能是客观条件限制.
例子
agricultural development is considerably constrained by climate.
农业发展在相当程度上由气候所限制.
Cold weather constrained the plant's growth.
寒冷的天气抑制了植物的生长.
He was constraining his mind not to wander from the task.
他在克制着不让自己在工作时分心.
