whose是关系代词 其实人跟物都可以用的
这里为什么不能用whose是因为冠词the
如果改成 I like the book whose cover is red就是对的
of which,which代表book,the cover of book
这就有点像
my book is new
The book is new
但是my和the是冲突的,不能放在一起

首先whose一般情况下指人的。可以排除A。选择B而不是which的原因是cover和of 的搭配。
