Unfortunately,the opening of the new library complex,previously scheduled for the next September,( would be) delayed for several months because of construction difficulties.
为何括号中would be不正确?应该怎么修改?complex是做动词么?

这个应该是will be,因为是现在说将来的事情,将要延期,所以用will.
只有在过去说将来的事情和虚拟语气（此处显然不是）时,才用would,例如：
He said he would come in the morning.
He says he will come in the morning.
complex是复合建筑群的意思,是名词,这里指图书馆大楼.
