One day I was jogging on a country alley.The weather was cloudy and it’s a little cold.I wear a woolen jacket and a hat.I was wondering the accident I met in the road that an electric bike crashed a car.The accident scene was bloody that it was surrounded by police and crowds when I passed there.
In the left side of the alley was a wide pond which was pure and calm.Just at the same time I heard a calling for help,“Help!Help!” I turned to the direction where the sound came from,and then I saw two trembling hands above the surface of the pond in the center of the pond.I got it at once that it was a drowning person there.
I was so anxious then that I want to shuck off my clothes immediately and jump into the pond to save the drowning victim at once.But the limiting factor was that I cannot swim!What a pity!I wish I could swim that minute for any price!But I just can’t.
Then I saw a countryman watching all of these leisurely at another side of this pond.So I asked him if he could swim.“Hey,are you a good swimmer?” “Of course,I’m the best swimmer in my town!” “Then why don’t you help the victim there from drowning?” “Why should I help him?He is not my son!” “How could you speak like that?You are so selfish!I beg you,could you just save him,please?” At that moment,there were only some fingers of the victim on the pond surface can be seen.It’s clear that the victim can hold on no longer.I made my decision and yelled at the selfish man,“If you save him,I will give you 100 dollars!” “Hum,only one hundred dollars!It’s too little to pay me for saving a drowning guy in such a cold weather!I need 200 dollars!” “Okay!I will give you 200 dollars after you saved him!” “No,I want the money right now!” Hearing the calling for help disappeared I took out my pocket and threw it to the countryman quickly.“You can take all of it!Please just save that poor guy!” “I need to check it first!” So the selfish onlooker picked up my pocket from the ground and picked out 200 dollars carefully out of my cash.Then a greedy smile appeared on his face and he shucked off his clothes at once and jumped to the pond.He tried hard to swim closely to the drowning one.A few minutes later,he finally dragged the drowning victim from the pond to the dry ground.But he paled as soon as he peered at the victim’s face,“Oh!MY Jesus Christ!It’s my only son!” After the yell he burst into tears.God bless him!It turns out that the victim is his dearest son!
This accident taught me that “what goes around comes around.”
