这个句中不是省略了when.而是不能用when，要用when引导状语从句的话，前面about the time 要删掉。

不好意思，说乱了，关系副词when，where，why在句中是只能做状语的。 是不是定语从句里有些特殊的先行词后面只可以接that的。the time + that 如 the time that remains 时光依旧 ， 此句子里不能用when. 用that，在此作宾语，故可省略。 “此处 when 可接可不接。”---原先回答出错。不好意思~~~
