My exam is caming的英语作文

A few days ago, I set the final examination paper for my students. Maybe it was just this reason that I had a nightmare about examination last night. I couldn’t find my Test Notification five minutes before the test. You can imagine how terrible that examination would be!

To tell the inner feeling, I really hate examination, I don’t know how many tests I have taken during my student life. But ironically, I now have to use the same measurement that I hate originally to test whether my students succeed or fail in mastering the subject.

I know many teachers lead different attitudes towards examination that are so different from me. Most teachers believe that examination is the best way to ecourage competition among students. Through the fierce examination and competition, the campus will be more lively and prosperous, then students and school both can make progress and improvement on and on. Also with the competition, the really excellent and competitive students will be prominent, while the inefficient students will also be dropped out.

It sounds reasonable, but the side effects of examination are also enormous. Since the score is the only criterion for students’ academic performance, then students will all be driven to memorize knowledge mechanically rather than to think it creatively. Moreover, examination also definitely obstruct the advance of students’ learning ability, because students are always judged by examination scores, they just devote all their mind on the knowledges which teachers have taught in class. Thus their reading will be restricted and narrowed.

Actually, from all the negative facts that examination brings, we can strongly feel that examination is unnecessary, so why can't the educational authorities make a real reform and adopt some measure more efficient than examination?
