这两个句子都是分词作后置定语的用法.
第一个 people trapped in the snow = people who are trapped in the snow,其中 trapped 是被动语态,即人是被困在大雪中的.
第二个 people speaking = people who speak,其中 speaking是主动语态,指说英语的人.
