"by the time "是“到。。。时间为止”的意思。By the time （when 可以省略）the course comes to an end 是“到这个课程结束为止（但现在还没有结束）”。 by三种用法：1，by now / up to now / so far，用现在完成时；2，by+过去某个时间点，用过去完成时；3，by+将来某个时间点，用将来完成时。 【俊狼猎英】团队为您解答。
