请问：有 intend for sb to do sth这种用法吗?
因高一4册P30页有 they don't intend us to catch their unspoken communication.请问有intend for sb to do sth这用法吗?

不可以完全否定地说没有这种用法,一般的用法是intend sb to do,但是有时候也会出现一些例外,如果出现这种用法,我们要认为它是正确的,但是我们在写作时要尽量避免

intend for sb/sth 打算给（某人）或作（某种用途）
intend to do sth 打算做某事
intend doing sth 打算做某事
intend sb to do sth 想让某人做某事
intend that sb sh...

我认为没有这种用法，因为不定式短语to catch their unspoken communication是做目的状语，不是与they don't intend for us 搭配在一起，而they don't intend for us中的be intend for有为…准备的意思，所以整句话的意思是“尽管他们没有为我们获取无声信息准备什么”
