其实两者意思差不多,主要的区别就是程度问题.
【thousands of】成千上万的
【thousands and thousands of】千千万万的
【thousands and thousands of】比【thousands of】程度更深,而且作者是更加希望通过这个词组来进一步强调数目的庞大,【thousands of】的强调作用没有比【thousands and thousands of】大
